What To Include On Your Business Cards

Business cards are still an essential tool for entrepreneurs and companies alike, even these days when the internet rules the roost – and increasingly so. You should never discount the importance of meeting people in person and giving them something tangible to remember you by, which is where the business card really does come into its own… as long as the design is right.

Your first step should be to include all the relevant standard information on the card, such as your logo, your name and job title, company name and address, the URL, your office and mobile phone number and your email address.

You could even consider featuring other non-essential information but which could still prove beneficial, such as QR codes, social media account names and even a map showing people how to get to your place of business.

Now that the boring bit is out of the way you can start to have some fun with your business card design and layout! Remember that images are one of the best ways to catch people’s attention so make sure you include at least one – and, if you can, have one entire side of your card devoted to a beautiful eye-catching image.

A key decision will be working out what to print your cards out on. There are all sorts of options these days, whether you want something textured or a high-quality cardstock, or perhaps something a little outside the box like plastic or metal. You can even play around with the shape of your card, perhaps coming up with something relevant to what you do.
